Difficult Conversations
Discipline: THE ARENA · Trains: Speaking (+ Listening)
Hold your composure through a passive-aggressive workplace clash, speaking every turn.
This game trains staying articulate under social pressure — useful for Part 3, where an examiner may challenge or probe your answers. You work through a tense, passive-aggressive exchange with an AI, speaking each turn while keeping your composure and staying direct.

How a session goes
- Open Difficult Conversations and pick a scenario.
- Read the briefing — the situation, the tension, and what you're trying to achieve.
- Enter the conversation: the AI makes a remark (often a veiled dig or a deflection), you respond out loud, and it reacts to what you actually said. Repeat until it resolves.
- See your result — feedback on your tone, directness, and how well you handled the dynamic.
What's scored
How composed, direct, and responsive you stayed — did you address what was really said, keep a professional tone, and avoid being either steamrolled or aggressive?
Tips
- Name the issue calmly. Directness without hostility is the target.
- Actually listen to the dig and respond to it — scripted answers fall flat here.
- It's fine to be firm. The skill is staying fluent and measured while you are.
